The Dell Field Readiness Seminar (FRS) is an annual convention of Dell salesforce. Dell regional leadership utilizes this opportunity to recognize top performers from the previous year and sets the pace for the coming year. This year’s edition, held at the Taj Bangalore, opposite the Kempegowda International Airport, was attended by global leadership as well. Attendees ranged from Australia & New Zealand, US other regional divisions of India including Hyderabad. Dell Gaming, Dell Cinema and Dell Small Business were featured.

Dell Small Business Solutions Center (SBSC) aims at helping small and medium businesses to meet their IT infrastructure needs by first understanding their technology requirements and then providing customized solutions, leveraging the comprehensive range of Dell Technologies’ offerings in hardware, platforms and software. Xarpie Labs partnered with Dell CSB to ideate and develop an immersive Virtual Reality (VR) experience which captures small business needs, ensuring consistent and quality delivery of Dell’s message and solutions to address those requirements. True VR elements were used in creating virtual products.

FRS proved successful in the way that Dell leadership experienced validation of this technology and also Xarpie Labs’ quality by design approach. More than 90% of visitors to the booth, all within a few hours, were able to experience this solution, nearly all providing positive feedback. Most were keen to see this solution deployed at retail stores.

This project was initiated by Sachin Menon, Marketing Lead Small Business at Dell Technologies. The booth was visited by Dell global leadership, including Phil Bryant, President for Global Consumer and Small Business who tested and appreciated the fidelity of the logic framework base that the experience is built on. This experience has been selected to appear at another Dell sponsored enterprise retail event to be held at Miami, Florida during the first week of March. ANZ leadership are also evaluating showcasing and deployment.

The experience is expected to reach retail stores by early FY 2020-21.
